Marc Farrell

Marc Farrell is a much collected Devon artist know for his landscapes of South Devon and Dartmoor and his brilliant homages to the great painters.

Marc has lived in the South Hams for over 40 years.  The River Dart and the surrounding coastline are a constant inspiration for his paintings. You’ll spot much loved scenes from the river’s source all the way to the open sea. While his landscapes are usually diminutive he has recently embarked on  larger scale work with spectacular results; watch this space!

Marc’s homages to the paintings of old masters often feature work by his two favorites; Vermeer and Ghirlandaio. Look closely and you’ll see that Marc has even painted the delicate cracks that age has brought to the original works.

As well as being a talented artist Marc is also a skilled picture framer and can often be found in the gallery’s workshop. He has hand-made all of the frames for his own paintings.
