Lenny Cornforth

Lenny Cornforth takes inspiration from our idyllic coastline to create works that perfectly capture the beauty of the South Hams. A keen sailor and surfer, she often draws on her own experiences to inform her compositions. Her love of time spent in the sea, days walking the coastal paths and summers lying on the sand finds endless expression in her work.

Lenny uses her trusty drone as a tool to observe her subject from a unique perspective. Working in oil and mixed media, she creates layers of translucent colour and texture to construct paintings that sing with vibrance and emotion. Each painting develops gradually, with layer upon layer establishing shapes and textures. The resulting works blaze with the joyful colours of the landscape she’s observed. All of her work is beautifully framed in elegant white tray frames.

Lenny Graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Fine Art. She has exhibited in established galleries across the UK and her work is widely collected. She recently moved from Cornwall to the South Hams with her husband and son and now paints in her studio overlooking the beautiful Start Bay.
