Kit Johns

Kit Johns brings a fresh new twist to painting our wonderful coastline. A young artist based in Cornwall, Kit has established an enviable reputation for his unique work which now hangs in collections worldwide.

We’re thrilled that he responded to our invitation to paint the South Devon coast and he now shown several wonderful collections with us. Employing a hugely creative approach, Kit utilises vintage maps as the foundation for works which push the envelope of landscape painting to capture the raw beauty and power of our coastal location. His unique approach results in paintings with very literal connections to place, each keenly evoking memories and experiences of the sea and the surrounding landscape. You’ll often spot Dartmouth and Start Bay featuring in his wonderful work.
