Donald Maclean

Donald lives in Skelmorlie on the Clyde coast. He drew and painted from a young age and gained formal training when he studied Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art from 1980 to 1985. A Postgraduate Diploma in Theatre Studies from University College Cardiff in 1988 led to a career as a Theatre designer and Scenic Artist working with venues throughout Scotland.
Donald has spent his whole adult life working in the arts and has more recently been able to focus on his first love, painting. Donald’s latest work includes startling, graphic still life canvases full of colour.
