In Theo's own words: "Titled 'Three Cheers', this painting depicts three old fishing vessels tightly wedged into a quiet corner of a boatyard. I focused on the structural weight of the hulls and the sharp lines of their masts rising into the dappled sky. The painting is constructed from layers of reclaimed offcuts sourced from a local shipbuilder on the banks of the River Fal, creating a tactile relief. Oil paints in shades of turquoise, deep blue, and weathered whites are coated over the wooden structure, capturing the raw, working class essence of the yard."
