MICHAEL LYTHGOE
On a trip to Cape Cod Michael Lythgoe purchased an old wooden decoy which sits proudly in his workshop today. This carving inspired Michael to change direction and, upon returning to the U.K. from Canada in 1986 with his wife and two children, he embarked on his new career. A sell out show at the William Marler Gallery Cirencester in 1988 and the winning of the European Decoy Carving Championships, enabled Michael to begin his new way of life. More...
DONALD MACLEAN
Donald Mclean has drawn and painted from a young age and has spent his whole adult life working in the arts. He trained in Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art from 1980 - 1985 and then gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Theatre Studies from University College Cardiff ( now the University of Wales) in 1988. Born into a family of artists in Paisley in August 1975, Emma studied Fine Art Drawing & Painting for four years at The Glasgow School of Art and graduated in 1998 with a BA Honours.
Since then, she has won several prestigious awards, exhibited at several group and solo exhibitions throughout the UK, and along with her husband Alan, set up Wilson Davis Fine Art gallery and framers in the picturesque setting of Quarrier's Village by Bridge of Weir.

Claire Wiltsher has gained a wealth of experience exhibiting nationally alongside her 20 years teaching and co-ordinating various art programmes. She paints in an expressive untraditional manner, but her work is based on strong observation of nature. The majority of her canvases are square which she feels is important in creating a balance and harmony in her paintings. The work has ambiguous elements but demonstrates strong structural compositions. She feels that "total recognition inhibits the imagination". More...
JENNY WHEATLEY
One of the most distinctive of watercolourists, Jenny Wheatley also produces equally fine work in oil and in the various painting media. Her work is characterised by a variety of strongly coloured patterns worked over the entire surface of each canvas or sheet of paper to sophisticated and playful effect. Apparently undermining or subverting traditional Western notions of perspective and space, the approach has been most sympathetically applied to the cultures of the Orient, such as the Pacific and India, and to the exotic boundaries of Europe, particularly Cyprus and Venice. JEAN FEENEY
Born in York, Jean now lives in the heart of highland Perthshire, but admits that some of her greatest artistic inspiration comes from a very different part of the Scottish landscape. From her first visit to Ardnamurchan and the West Coast in 1990 Jean fell in love with the landscape, light and colour there, and these have been at the center of her creative output ever since.
