SUE MOFFITT

Sue Moffitt is an Internationally acclaimed painter of animals, principally known for her characterful portrait paintings of cows. " I am passionate about art and its potential to express emotion, feelings or words. It is this channel that allows me to address issues that impact daily life. I was brought up on a large dairy farm in Northumberland, and have lived in the country all my life." " I am at home in the countryside and therefore my art reflects this rural ethos. The cow portraits came about because I helped on the family farm with the milking; their individuality was something that I grew to love about them." " Animals and wildlife are the focus of my work, I always feel privileged to interact with them, especially wild animals. The relationship between man and nature interests me, to try and understand animal behaviour and their relationship with us is fascinating. I am drawn to them as if I was meant to be."
